Fugitive Nabbed At Grand CanyonFugitivo Nabbed al gran cañón
Authorities said the suspect in the death of a North Texas fitness instructor this week was arrested Friday evening in Arizona after a rescue at Grand Canyon National Park after he jumped over a ledge, falling about 25 feet.
Earlier Friday, Plano police had issued an arrest warrant for Terrance Deering Black, 48, in the slaying of former girlfriend Susan Loper, 40.
Park officials said Black was taken to the hospital after his rescue. Plano police spokesman Rick McDonald said the department is working to get Black brought back to Texas.
Loper was reported missing Tuesday morning from the Plano country club where she worked. Her body was found Wednesday in nearby Frisco, where she and Black lived.
