A series of text messages assisted police in the arrest of a suspect in the armed robbery of a north side convenience store.  Marshall prescott aponte, was charged thursday with aggravated robbery, a first degree felony.

Police said five similar robberies occurred early Tuesday involving a gunman wearing a bandana, a hoodie and a baseball cap.

Police said witnesses helped them track down an acquaintance of aponte’s whose vehicle was used in the robberies early tuesday.  While interviewing the vehicles owner they Saw someone had sent him text messages that read, just robbed the exon, two pistols and made 300 bucks.

The message was received at 5am, shortly after the exxon robbery.

A man upset because he thought his house was dirty is accused of pistol whipping a woman who was helping his girlfriend clean.

Roy Gonzales was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony and bail was set at $50,000.

He became upset and began arguing with his girlfriend because the home wasn’t clean enough and because the victim was there.  He also punched her and hit her twice with a pistol.

San Antonio police arrested a woman accused of trying to rob a bank on the far North Side after she left her cell phone in the bank last week.

Alexis Ramos, 21, is being held in Bexar County Jail on one count of aggravated robbery. A judge set bail at $75,000.

Ramos previously worked at an International Bank of Commerce branch in Galveston, but left after the bank was robbed while she was working one day, an arrest warrant affidavit states.

On Friday, Ramos went into an IBC branch on U.S. 281 and Evans Road and told two employees she worked for the bank’s marketing department, using terminology only known to IBC employees, the affidavit states.

After about 20 minutes, Ramos reportedly said to the employees, “I think you guys know what’s going on here,” and pulled out a pistol — police have said it was a BB gun — and a stun gun, the affidavit states. She demanded they open the bank’s vault and put cash from the vault into a large purse, but then dropped something, the employees told San Antonio police.

The employees then were able to grab her weapons and she ran, leaving the cash and an AT&T cell phone behind, the affidavit states.

The phone was found to be registered to Ramos, and witnesses were able to identify her on surveillance videos, although Ramos reportedly wore a wig and glasses to disguise herself.

A warrant for Ramos’ arrest was issued Saturday, and she was arrested without incident around 6:30 p.m.

San Antonio police Sunday arrested a man accused of injuring and stealing from an 88-year-old man he has known for 30 years.

Cody Greene, 38, was held without bail at the Bexar County Jail on one count of aggravated robbery of an elderly person and one count of violating parole.

The victim told police he had allowed Greene to stay in a trailer in the yard of his North Side property for about a year until Greene moved out in the spring. On May 26, the victim was “awakened by a sharp object being poked in his ribs,” an arrest warrant affidavit states, and after a struggle, he was able to turn on the light and see Greene.

Greene allegedly demanded the man’s wallet, then another struggle ensued and Greene allegedly took the man’s pants, which contained his wallet and checkbook, the affidavit states. The elderly man had scratches on his chest and was bleeding, the affidavit states.
